Ambrosini's Restaurant

We chose Ambrosini's because we wanted to celebrate our anniversary. We drove down from Clare for the night. This lovely restaurant now has the third generation 'on the tools', and its a brilliant place. Paul and Remo, you made our special occasion very special indeed.

A special place for your special night ⭐ We live nearby and have been meaning to go for a while, finally booked and it definitely did not disappoint. All of the dishes are overflowing with flavour. Plates are substantial and you won't leave hungry. Beautiful classics with a variety enough to appeal to most preferences. Service is wonderful as well. The hosts take care of you, the owners make you feel special. We loved every minute of our night Will definitely be back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Booking for a table of 8 Service was super attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and good quantities. We enjoyed the entrees and mains. Love the chicken livers! Prawns and fish cooked beautifully.

Ambrosinis is an understated, old-fashioned northern Italian restaurant with close proximity to the eastern suburbs and the city. The atmosphere and service were exceptional. The menu was fairly limited and a bit confusing for someone like me who does not speak Italian. I think some additional menu options would go a long way, as there were really only a couple of dishes that I actually wanted to eat, and I'm not usually picky. Food is well presented and well prepared though, but you are going to pay a premium to dine here.

Ambrosini’s is a family owned business specialising in Northern Italian cuisine and has been an institution on Magill Road, for decades. You can always rely on them to provide a very good classic Italian dinner. Warm bread and butter to start and I don’t know why it tastes so much better at restaurants. We each had a pasta entree, shared oysters Kilpatrick a main and finished with the tiramisu. The spaghetti marina was awesome, red sauce, well seasoned, pasta very well cooked and a hint of heat.and generous serving for an entree. Also sampled the gnocchi con pancetta - gnocchi cooked perfectly and the flavour was amazing. One of the other entrees was the seafood risotto, again very high standard dish. Time for mains. These included the barramundi special, chicken livers and the steak. All reports were that the individual dishes were cooked and seasoned very well. I have the steak and although slightly over cooked the seasoned well and beautifully presented. I also tasted the chicken livers, which can be very grainy and too rich. This was the exception, balanced flavours and served with brown rice. Just needed a little bread for dipping. (described as being served with prosciutto in a brandy sauce) Dessert was the traditional tiramisu served out of a bowl. This was very nice, not too strong or overpowering and the finished an off the night. Great night out with excellent service. Booking recommend.

The most amazing delicious pasta in the fetttucine con pollo not drowned in sauce and full of flavour! My husband loves the barramundi fish of the day special. The yummiest sourdough bread and fresh butter with the most delicious dessert- we had the chocolate and frangelico mousse. Can’t wait to go back!

Great service and wonderfully presented delicious food. Waiter/owner Paul was very friendly and offered suggestions of wines and meal. Entrees were tasty, well presented and the duck risotto was great, likewise the duck fat potatoes.

This is probably one of the best Italian restaurants in town. Nice and enthusiastic Italian staffs, lovely ambience offered great vibes, awesome foods which were absolutely delicious The prices were reasonable, though not cheap, but still good for special occasions. For sure, it is also good if you just want to have good foods, to reward yourself for hard work or thank your loved ones. The way they cooked seafood pasta was quite different from most other Italian restaurants (on my experiences). The pasta came with quite a big bowl of tomato fish broth, and with very fresh seafoods, which was absolutely delicious. The beef steak was a Porterhouse, which tasted good and in reasonable soft texture. The butter sauce was amazing and it improved the overall satisfaction of the Porterhouse steak to another level. There was a small plate of veggies that came with the steak, so $48 was really a good deal. My only little disappointment was the dessert tiramisu that was quite average, and I would expect it could be better. The air-conditioning was well provided. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was fantastic, particularly this is well observed in their toilet which made me feel relaxed, warm and comfortable. Thank you, Paul and your team.
